Could not be more happy with the work. Louis was personable and taught us a lot. The work was impeccable. I cannot believe how clean the chimney was. Louis kept the rest of the room so clean. We have cream colored carpet and not one bit of the chimney material made it on the floor with the shroud he built. Portland Fireplace and Chimney you have made a lifelong customer.

Louis, Caleb and Mark helped us update our dilapidated chimney and modernize with a gas insert. They were all really professional and nice to work with. The new fireplace really makes a difference and they even offered to fix some masonry on the property. I now have the peace of mind that our chimney is no longer a hazard and am enjoying the new fireplace so much.

We had a fireplace to repair, wall and stove to install and chimney cap to repair/install. Chris and Mike came and stayed till the job was done and even came back a couple of days later to just make sure the chimney was complete. Items not on the original work order but needing attention didn’t get past them. We love our new stove and the wall you put in blends right in with the original!
Haven’t tested it yet because it’s not cold enough but the cats approve of the work.

We had them resurface our fireplace and install a new mantle after a house fire. They did a fantastic job, working with us to find the best stone to work with the room, getting a custom mantle made and everything installed. Caleb and Michael, who did the refinishing and mantle installation, were very professional and did a great job. The completed work looks wonderful. We’re very happy we had them do the work.

They are the only company that even got back to me with an estimate and did so within a day. They called to verify the appointment the day before and were on time. They were very quick and thorough. Thankfully based on other reviews I was mentally prepared for a large quote on repairs to be done. Louis was very helpful in explaining which was the highest priority. I feel that we can attack these repairs in steps and when we have the finances. There was no pressure to get on the schedule or fix things right away. I really appreciate his knowledge and trust his expertise when it comes to the fixes. Everything he said makes sense and it didn’t feel like I was being charged extra just because I don’t know about these things.

The entire team was exceptional. Nate and Bailey rebuilt our chimney from the ground up and Niles did the tile on the hearth and surround. The craftsmanship and attention to detail were outstanding. Chris and Mike were awesome!! Scheduling with the office was a bit tedious and it was difficult to get on the schedule (had to be rescheduled multiple times last minute) but these two guys who came to do the work totally made up for it!
